Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them. Matthew 18:18-20

These words indicate that, where there is unity between believers, there will be great spiritual power.  When humanity was building the tower of Babel, God declared that, because of their great unity through one language, they were on the verge of enormous discoveries.  God said that: “nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them” – Genesis 11:6.  This is true in the merely human sense of linguistic unity.  It has proved to be true in that the English language has united the world’s scholars and enabled humanity to make great strides forward in science and technology.  But if it is true in a natural sense, it is much truer in a spiritual sense.  The Church must not allow the devil to divide and conquer.  If brother can be divided against brother, then the prayer life of the Church will be paralysed.  If a Church can walk in unity and love, then the Lord will take its prayer life into wonderful union with the throne room on high.  Resolve to restore any wrong relationships.  Perhaps you have blamed others, but is there anything you have done wrong that you should confess?  If you restore and heal broken relationships, you will come into a new dimension of power in prayer.
