…the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live. John 5:25
The power to raise the dead is in the voice of the Son of God. This is a key to spiritual life. We do not receive a vague anointing or power to change our lives. We hear the voice that calls us from the grave. That voice is loving, caring and compassionate. It is majestic and powerful; it is authoritative to the point that there is no power that can withstand that voice. It is the voice of the Creator, who calls forth things that are not, and suddenly they are. The voice is not impersonal, not shouting for the sake of merely making a noise. This is the voice of the most wonderful Person imaginable. There is personality because the Creator is Himself a Person, and defines what personality is. It is in hearing this voice that we are raised from the dead, and life is imparted to our weak, lifeless souls. So incline your heart to hear. He has spoken and He is speaking, and those who hear will live. He is speaking to your heart, and He will awaken you from the deepest ‘soul sleep’, called spiritual death, and raise you to the relationship of friend to friend with Jesus.
